As the leader of this retreat I would like to introduce myself:

Day 1 – Arrival Marrakech

We will pick you up at the airport to make your retreat as comfortable as possible. Check-in is in a beautiful riad in Marrakech. We will start the first day of the retreat here relaxed. Sightseeing in the hustle and bustle of this fascinating metropolis and the associated obligatory visit to one of the largest bazaars in Africa, the Souk in Marrakech. Thousands of small alleys with a multitude of different small shops tempt you to try, discover and haggle. Here, our local guide takes us through the labyrinth of shops that sell a wide variety of goods.

We end the evening with a harmonious and relaxed dinner in the hotel before we start our adventure into the breathtaking interior of Morocco and the sea in Taghazout and Agadir and start our yoga retreat.

Day 2 – Off to sea

The time at sunrise has something magical about it. The atmosphere is filled with lightness and tranquillity. The body is still almost completely in the state of the Vata-Doshas. We use this magic and energy for our meditation, pranayama and the associated yoga practice and create clarity, activity and movement.

“Getting up to sadhana in the morning is a completely selfish act. It is good for our personal strength, for our personal intuition, our personal flexibility, our self-discipline and last but not least for our personal well-being”.

After an extensive breakfast we will travel together to the Atlantic coast in the direction of Taghazout/Agadir and relax for the first four days of our retreat.

Thagazout is a real insider tip among Morocco connoisseurs. Due to its relaxed and graceful atmosphere situated directly on the Atlantic Ocean, this fishing village is exactly the right location for a yoga retreat.

An individual hotel reserved only for our group and the beach within walking distance are waiting for us. A dinner together will take place, otherwise the evening is at your free disposal.

Day 3 – Paradisiacal times

Meditation, pranayama and yoga also take place here in the morning. We harmonize body, soul & spirit to start the day full of dynamics.

Optionally you can spend the day at the beach, which is within walking distance, or make an excursion to the picturesque Paradise Valley. In the south of Morocco there is a place that lives up to its name, an enchanting jewel of untouched nature hides behind this name. A surreal valley brought to life by the Tamrhakht River, with its paradisiacal pools, invites you to bathe and relax.

In order to process the impressions of the last days, to let the mind and the thoughts come to rest and to give the body the necessary peace, we let the evening end with a relaxed and harmonizing yoga class. We end the day consciously and let go of everything we no longer need. We treat ourselves to a gentle, regenerative and soothing asana sequence.

Afterwards we have dinner together and let the evening end calmly and harmoniously.

Day 4 – Beach or city

Meditation, pranayama and yoga take place here again in the morning. We harmonize body, soul & spirit to start the day full of dynamics.

After breakfast you can spend the day at the beach or make an optional excursion to the nearby metropolis Agadir (bookable). There you will be guided by our local guide through the city, you can visit the souk of Agadir, the famous Berber Museum or the probably most beautiful sight in Agadir, the Medina. Culturally no wish remains unfulfilled here.

In the evening we end the day with a restorative yin yoga lesson. Through the activity of the previous days and the more of Yang, the restorative and passive effect of Yin Yoga strengthens our receiving energies and the female, receiving side within us.

Day 5 – Oases and spices

After breakfast we will head to the next fabulous location which we will visit during our adventure in Morocco: The oasis town Taroudant. It is located in the middle of the fertile Sous plain and is a Moroccan city with a long tradition. This charming oasis town is known for its local handicrafts, especially the making of jewellery and carpets. Taroudant has a very important place in Morocco’s history as it is the country’s first capital and one of the oldest cities in Morocco.

Then it goes to Taliouine. This charming small town is considered the hub of the African saffron trade and a centre for all kinds of spices. Immerse yourself with all your senses in the almost exclusively spice souk of the small town and let yourself be seduced.

Here we will check into the hotel and end the evening with a yoga lesson and a dinner together.

Day 6 – Nature and culture

Yoga at sunrise: The magical atmosphere of sunrise is filled with lightness and tranquility. The body is still almost completely in the state of the Vata-Doshas, the thoughts are still calm. We use this magic and energy for our meditation, pranayama and the associated yoga practice and create clarity, activity and movement.

After breakfast and yoga classes, culture is the order of the day. Again you have the option to relax or walk with our guide through the impressive palm groves in pristine nature. For lunch we will stop off with a traditional Berber family and enjoy the local delicacies.

The evening is at your free disposal.

Day 7 – The desert adventure begins

With a vinyasa flow and a short, yet very intense pranayama in advance, we charge the body and soul with new prana/life energy on day seven.

After breakfast we dive into the last adventure of our retreat: The desert opens its arms for us, the endless expanse of the dunes fascinates us. We will take in the Sahara, this rough and at the same time fascinating natural landscape, in order to return to the roots of our existence. The so elementary basis and rootedness of our being becomes clear here in the vastness of the sheer endless horizon and we will celebrate the associated yoga sessions in deep harmony and harmony with everything.

To make the whole thing complete we will check into an original and solid desert camp equipped with the most elementary and essential amenities. You can arrive here and relax and let the sheer endless expanse work its magic on you.

We will spend the evening with connected food in the rough and unspoiled nature at the campfire with drums and under the free firmament of the desert. Here we are so close to the cradle of our being, our true essence and we will honour and celebrate this in the perfection of the silence of the desert.

Day 8 – Sand and sun

With the first rays of the sun and its brilliant rise on the endless horizon we start the day with a meditation, pranayama and a grounding yin & yang yoga class. This longer yoga session gives us the last breath of reflection and awareness, the arrival in the deepest essence of our spirit, the wholeness of both poles Yin & Yang united in us.

After breakfast we saddle up on camels and go on a small desert safari. We will have a romantic picnic under palm trees and return to camp in the afternoon.

The culmination of this earthy and unspoilt adventure in the Sahara will be a short hike up to the highest dune of the desert region to watch the brilliant and overwhelming sunset. A natural spectacle that is second to none.

Day 9 – Back to civilization

With a vinyasa flow and a short, yet very intense pranayama in advance, we recharge the body and soul on day nine with new prana/life energy to start the return of our adventure to Marrakech after breakfast. With 4×4 jeeps we make our way back to “civilization”.

A cultural stop on our way back will be the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ait-Ben-Haddou.

Arrived in the evening again in the luxurious Riad, we let our impressions fade away with a common dinner and then go tired and really happy into our beds or have still individually the option Marrakesch at night to marvel at.

Day 10 – Experience Marrakech

On the last day after breakfast you have the opportunity to plunge into the exciting floods of the metropolis Marrakech again, to indulge in one of the famous hammams of the city or to stroll through the colorful alleys of the city. Our guide is at your disposal again to let you immerse yourself in the local colour of the city and to show you routes besides the tourist ones. He knows the city like the back of his hand and can take you to wonderfully remote places with enchanting flair.

The evening will include a Black & White Dinner together to review our retreat and all the exciting impressions.

If you would like to spend a few more days in Marrakech, you have the option of contacting our tour guide directly or contacting us.

Day 11 – Departure

On the last day you have the possibility to have us take you to the airport or the train station after breakfast or to explore the city on your own.

Our accommodations

Local accommodation with charm

True to our values and with a view to fair tourism, our accommodations are either local guesthouses or small family-run hotels where hospitality is still a priority. In spite of the local accommodations of our trips, we naturally pay attention to comfort when making our choices.

Those who are used to a European 3-star standard will get along well with our accommodations. There are predominantly no star catagories with us, which results mostly already alone from the remoteness of the accommodations and the kind of the “management”, however we pay attention very much to the fact that you feel well with us. There is a bed, shower, heating and usually also air conditioning and a pool. Not to forget the delicious meals, which are mostly prepared from traditional dishes with ingredients from the neighborhood or your own garden. You are always welcome to stay with us.

The desert camps are designed to be as comfortable as possible in the desert. The attached tents consist of a wooden or clay construction and heavy tent fabric. Carpets are laid out inside. Most tents are lockable and have enough space for equipment and backpacks. Since most tents have an electrical outlet, the smartphone or camera can also be charged. Of course there are also facilities for washing and toilets. Most camps even have hot showers, which is a real luxury in a desert. Many adventurers like to sleep outside because the starry sky of the Sahara is simply unforgettable and the peace and space of the desert offers a good basis for a restful sleep. Before going to bed, you often meet at the campfire, tell stories, make music or exchange ideas. Of course, you don’t have to do without good food in the desert either.
